(T)ea House: A temporary meditation space for a chaotic world

Space & Installation
Opening date:  May 3, 2014
F.R. Newman Arboretum, near Houston Pond

Presented by Rachel Bacus, (T) House is a temporary space created by movable components. The walls are fastened with dowels that allow for the user to deconstruct the space and reconstruct it in another area. The space is meant for an individual to experience a moment of solitude out in nature. The house is inspired by the introspective qualities of a Japanese Tea House. Light and materiality are major components of the piece.
