Claire Stack '15 directs The Women of Lockerbie, a poetic drama written by Deborah Brevoort. The play begins seven years after the crash of Pan Am 103, a devastating act of terrorism that led to the loss of nearly 300 lives. A mother of one of the victims comes to Lockerbie, Scotland for the first time to search for her son's remains. She soon encounters a group of tenacious Scottish women determined to save the belongings of the victims from incineration, as the American government plans to do. Loosely based on a true story, this Greek tragedy-style play explores the depth of loss as well as the incredible kindness and sacrifice that emerge as a result.
