The CCA supports numerous arts-related events and projects each year.. Documentation from grant-supported projects completed and presented, artist award presentations, and CCA-initiated projects are archived, including exhibitions, performances, lectures, individual artist and department-generated projects, concerts, installations, and publications.

November 19, 8PM, Barnes Hall: Four conductors lead movements of the Hayden Symphony
Cornell Chamber Orchestra; Chris Younghoon Kim, conductor, with guest clinician Johannes Schlaefli and violinists Susan Waterbury and Nicholas DiEugenio. Features Bach’s Concerto in D Minor for two violins, BWV 1043, Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro, and Haydn’s Symphony No. 47
November 20, 3PM, Bailey Hall: Johannes Schaefli conducts Tchaikovsky Symphony
Cornell Symphony Orchestra; Chris Younghoon Kim, conductor, with guest conductor Johannes Schlaefli. Features Marcus Karl Maroney’s The Ever-Fixed Mark, Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.
Swiss conductor and visiting professor at Royal Northern College of Music at Rice University, Houston, TX, Johannes Schlaefli, will present conducting workshops during a residency in the Department of Music, and conduct concerts. Schlaefli is the Principal Conductor of the Berner Kammerorchester and directs the orchestral ensembles at the University of Zurich, and worked for many years as a teacher on the "Symphonic Workshops" courses. Chris Kim, Director of Orchestras in the Department of Music, is the organizer of Schlaefli's visit.
