The CCA supports numerous arts-related events and projects each year.. Documentation from grant-supported projects completed and presented, artist award presentations, and CCA-initiated projects are archived, including exhibitions, performances, lectures, individual artist and department-generated projects, concerts, installations, and publications.
Listed below is a sample of projects supported by the CCA from 2001 to 2017.
The Institute for African Development hosted its annual outreach event, Africa in Ithaca, on March 31, 2001, at 7 pm at the Women's Community Building. Proceeds from the event went to an organization in the Ithaca Community. Past beneficiaries include the Community School of Music and Arts, the AME Zion Church, and the Saturday School for Science and Math. The beneficiary of 2001 was the Literacy Volunteers of Tompkins County.
The event was sponsored by the Institute for African Development, together with the Africana Studies and Research Center, Arnold Priniting, Alta-Spa, BSI Sound, Cornell African Students' Association, Cornell Council for the Arts, Cornell Music Department, Cornell Graduate School, Durland Alternatives Library, the Greater Ithaca Activities Center, the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, and Samite Artistic Productions.
