Fiber-Art Installation
The Department of Fiber Science & Apparel Design (FSAD) has invited CCA Biennial Invitational Artist, Ruby Chishti, to serve as the FSAD Critic-in-Residence for fall, 2018. FSAD will sponsor a solo exhibition of Chishti’s work in the Jill Stuart Gallery, in addition to hosting Chishti for a month-long residency. Recently featured at the Asia Society in New York City, Chishti’s fabric installations with electronic sound ponder the homelessness of migration and the duration of immigrant survival.
