Rethinking empowerment with ‘Fashions from the Frontline’ at Cornell exhibition

Knit hats in all different shades of pink from the Women’s March fill a display case. In front of the hats is a colorful circus-themed ensemble created by a Cornell student. A few displays down are the shoes worn by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during her campaign.

The Cornell Costume and Textile Collection launched “Women Empowered: Fashions from the Frontline” as a part of its 2018 Cornell Council for the Arts Biennial.
