Max Haughey

somewhere but not there isn’t a place you go to; it’s a place you end up.

look and listen; you might like to stay a while

i found myself here

—— find yourself somewhere but not there

it isn’t a place you’ll go

it’s a place you’ll end up

if you look and listen and stay a while

not making any promises

if you find yourself somewhere but not there

let me know how it goes

i won’t be waiting there

somewhere but not there (2020)

is an audiovisual relic; a transfiguration of the material textures (waves) that make up a world perceived. It’s an invitation demanding an RSVP with no return address. It is imaginary. It is sound and pixels and language, et al.

and I made it for you.
